Description
Winemaking Process: The grapes are hand-harvested in
small boxes and brought to the cellar, where they await
the coolness of the night to be awakened and then enter
the ovoid concrete tanks at a low temperature
(approximately 13°C). Fermentation is slow, and thanks
to the native yeasts, the musts retain and enhance the
micro-terroir characteristics that are so distinctive of
Montsecano wine, which has developed its identity over
time.
Tasting Notes: Montsecano displays a medium
concentration with a vivid garnet color and ruby tones at
the edges. On the nose, the wine exhibits great aromatic
complexity and multiple layers, revealing attractive scents
of roses, ripe strawberries, cherries, some earthy notes,
and even a hint of cranberry. On the palate, the wine has
a smooth attack that conceals a tremendous structure
and gives way to juicy red fruits such as strawberries and
cherries, along with floral and native tree notes. The finish
expresses a pleasant and long-lasting mineral character
on the palate. It is a delicious and highly complex wine
that, nevertheless, is easy to drink.
